Principles of Data Management; Data Security

1.1 The Service Provider, as Data Controller (hereinafter: Controller), undertakes to manage personal data obtained in the course of its activities in accordance with applicable laws and as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

The Controller processes personal data solely for defined purposes, for exercising rights and fulfilling obligations.

The processing and collection of data – at every stage – complies with the requirement of fairness and legality.

The Controller only processes personal data that is necessary and suitable for achieving the purpose of processing. The Controller processes personal data only to the extent and for the duration necessary for the purpose.

At every stage of data processing, the Controller ensures that the data subject can access which data types are processed for which purposes, and may prohibit data processing at any time – except in cases of mandatory data processing.

2.2 For minors aged 16 and over, their declaration of consent is valid without the consent or subsequent approval of their legal representative.

Rights of the Data Subject

3.1 The data subject may request information from the Controller about the processing of their personal data. Upon request, the Controller shall provide information in writing within the shortest possible time, but no later than 25 days, regarding the processed data, purpose, legal basis, duration, name and address of processors, and related activities.

3.2 The data subject may request correction of their personal data.

If the personal data is incorrect and correct data is available, the Controller shall correct the personal data.

3.3 The data subject may request deletion or blocking of their personal data.

Personal data must be deleted if

  • its processing is unlawful;
  • requested by the data subject;
  • incomplete or incorrect;
  • the purpose of processing has ceased or the storage deadline has expired;
  • ordered by court or authority.

The Controller may only refuse deletion requests if mandatory data processing applies (e.g., accounting law requires invoice retention).

Instead of deletion, the Controller may block personal data if requested by the data subject or if deletion may violate the data subject’s legitimate interests. Blocked personal data can only be processed as long as the reason for refusing deletion exists.

If the Controller refuses correction, blocking, or deletion, they shall notify the data subject within 25 days in writing or electronically (with consent), including factual and legal reasons. The data subject shall be informed about judicial remedies and contacting the authority.

4.1 The data subject may turn to court if their rights are violated by the Controller.

4.2 Anyone may initiate an investigation with the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) if personal data processing has caused or threatens to cause harm.
